The Alpe d'Huez domain has 5 sledging areas. Under the Pic Blanc 1 gondola, a permanent run with banked turns and bumps delivers real thrills (braked sledge and helmet required). Four safe zones welcome the youngest, including one in Oz 3300 (pedestrian access via the Poutran gondola).
The sporty run is free with a Grand Domaine ski pass; without one, expect €10 per run up to €20.50 a day. Helmet required (not provided), rentals in sports shops.
